Former Batter Huge Remark On India's Playing XI For T20 World Cup

The former India batter is confident that Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh will be picked for the tour of Sri Lanka.

The BCCI has announced the replacement for injured pacer Jasprit Bumrah for 2022 T20 World Cup. The Indian side will now be able to continue having four full-time fast bowlers in their 15 man squad with Mohammed Shami filling this vacant spot, thus helping them take on any adversities that come their way during these promised tournaments.

When asked about India’s ideal fast bowling line-up, former batter Robin Uthappa had this to say: “Shami and Arshdeep Singh are certain get a spot in the playing XI while Bhuvneshwar Kumar could go either way. If they decide on three pure pacers then it will be Harshal Patel who closes out games.”

“I think they will play two fast bowlers and one spinner. It’s hard to say who the second pacer is going be because of Harshal Patel,” said Uthappa in an interview with ESPNCricinfo. The uncertainty lies mainly on what position Bhuvneshwar or Shami take up in this team, but if we were guessing then maybe Arshdeep Singh could come into play since he has been performing well recently after being ignored by many before now?

The Indian team is set to begin their bid for glory in this year’s T20 World Cup with a match against archrivals Pakistan on October 23. Before that, they will play two practice games – one against Australia and another New Zealand- i n order prepare well before facing off one of sports’ most fierce rivals.
